My name is Affia. I am passionate about discovering different cultures, languages and I love travelling while doing so. I am also a strong advocate of solo travelling as a woman.

I had my first solo travel experience when I was 18. I decided to go to Brighton for 6 weeks, to improve my English and gain some professional experience. Back then, 6 weeks looked like a such a great amount of time. I remembered that completely broke down before taking the train: just thinking that I would be spending all those weeks alone, without my friends and family… It was so scary to me at the time. Although I was scared and did not know what to expect from this trip, it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. I have met extraordinary people who have helped grow and be more confident both in myself and my abilities.
Through the years, I’ve taken interest in so many countries and cultures that I eventually grew to be a polyglot. I’m French and I have learned English and German at school. In addition to that, I’ve lived in Germany for a year and a half and studied in Brazil for six month. I’m so passionate when it comes to understanding a new culture and I’m always waiting for an opportunity to learn a new language. I just love connecting with people, and the way I see it, the more languages I can speak, the more people I could potentially connect with. I am currently in the process of learning Korean and I’m super enthusiastic about sharing my findings about this culture.
I guess, by now you might already have an idea on the reason why I have decided to create this blog. So, why? Well, I simply wish share with you my various passions namely traveling, discovering cultures, learning languages and last but not least sharing my food tips, since I believe it is also an agreeable (and sometimes less pricey) way to learn about a new culture! I don’t know about you, but the quickest way to my heart is definitely though my stomach.
I hope you’re all buckled up, let’s all travel together in the best ways possible. I hope you’ll enjoy the ride and wishing you have a great time reading it as much as I enjoy sharing this!
